BEGINNING OF SCHOOL UPDATE FROM BOARD CHAIR

Dear Friends,

These are very exciting times for the West End School (WES)! This month our school began its 17th academic school year of providing outstanding educational opportunities and support for our students. We are very excited about continuing our mission to provide a safe and structured environment in which academic rigor, character development, and responsible action establish the foundation for a purposeful life. As a supporter of WES, you have played an instrumental part in allowing us to continue to do this important work. Thank you!

We are very proud of the success our students experience as they go on to high school, college, military, or become gainfully employed in various career fields. The success of our alumni is proof positive that the WES is laying a solid educational foundation for our students as we work in close partnership with parents and guardians.

Thanks to a wonderful donation from the Brown Forman Corporation, we are we are developing plans to build a new school for girls! This wonderful gift has jump started our efforts to expand our mission, and to open our doors to girl students by the Fall of 2024. We also are grateful that Mr. Robert Blair, co-founder of WES, has come out of retirement to serve as Interim School Administrator. In this role Mr. Blair will lead our efforts to develop a first class educational experience for our girl students.

As WES continues to grow by serving more students, our need for support will also grow. So, we hope that you will continue supporting our school as we expand our capacity to enroll more students and offer life-changing experiences to them.

Sincerely,

Dan Hall
